One of the services provided by Plantyst is Online, which allows us to track all monitored machines and their production progress in real time, minute by minute. In effect, we use this tool to track the data and its rhythm.
Online consists of measured inputs that are represented in a blue graph by a single line that provides detailed information about the ongoing production process. The detailed view is made possible through the monitoring of individual settings across various functions.
What can be found in Online
The measured inputs are referred to as "measured variables". After the variables have been configured in the Portal, and authorized users assigned to them, they are displayed in a series of rows that are sorted alphabetically or by number. They share a common x-axis and have their own y-axis with the specified monitoring unit. You can monitor pieces, meters, duty cycle, temperature and machine load. As a standard feature, our system offers the display of two metrics - production and utilization (availability).
On the left side of the chart, one of three colored bars (green, orange, red) shows the shows the current status of production by indicating if the machine is running or stopped and how long is stopped. If the machine stopped within ten minutes or over ten minuteshow long (orange or read color).
In the upper right area, above the time axes and next to the clock icon, is where we can set the time period we would like to monitor. Next to this time period is a search field with a magnifying glass icon, together with information about the logged-in user that is shown as a circle with a monogram, which we simply call an avatar.
Display of measured variables in Online
The measured variables represent the basic unit in the Plantyst system. It defines just one measured input and is assigned one row in Online. Each measured variable has its own name and can be labelled. The blue graph indicates production flow of the machine, with the data history on the left and the current time on the right. You can scroll through the graph with a mouse or select a visualization of the period from a list of options.
Comments
In the Plantyst system, a comments is as a meta-document that’s used to record any remarks about machine operation (measured variables) during production. They are intended to be brief, concise, and informative. The comments are displayed in a Gantt chart below the graph and, in addition to the text itself, also contain information about the date and time the comment was created, the period to which the comment relates, the total length, and the author. An option to edit the contents is also available.
Print output
For both types of comments (specific and interval), the same procedure also applies for the printout, which can serve as a basis for daily meetings. You can get a color printout with graphs, production, availability, comments, downtime, jobs, etc., or a printout in the form of an excel spreadsheet with a reduced amount of data.
Color output with a graph
For a color graph output, click on the printer icon in the top left corner of the Portal. You will see confirmation that the report is being downloaded, and once the wheel on the "Download" button stops spinning, you can click on “Download”. The report will then open below the lower bar as a PDF document.
Printout as an excel spreadsheet
Just click on the “Export” button in the bottom right corner of Online. The report will be downloaded below the lower bar as a csv file.
